This time yesterday on the global news Podcast we were reporting on a tense situation

in the Kenyan capital Nairobi during big protests mainly by young people against

proposed tax increases. Today the authorities are investigating reports that a protester was fatally shot by police

during those demonstrations.

Lobby groups have said at least 200 people were injured across the country and accused the police of using excessive force.
