Now, as you can see, I'm in a different spot.

It's because today we have a special episode where I have a one-on-one interview with Kentucky head coach, Kenny Brooks.

So, starting with when you were hired at Kentucky, because you've emphasized multiple times.

You weren't looking to leave Virginia Tech, but what was it like, you know, being contacted by Mitch, by UK, and then that whole process kind of just leading you to come in here?

It was a whirlwind. It was a very emotional time for me. I think it's well documented

that my wife was going through a medical situation.

And then that also, just two weeks prior, lost my best player, you know, to a season and an injury that really derailed our hopes of going far in the NCAA tournament.

So it was a very emotional time for me.

So when I did get the call, you know, I just prayed a lot, you know, prayed a lot,

talked with my family a lot about the situation, had an open mind to it. I went in and, you know,

everything was, was good, you know, that I heard, so I wanted to continue to listening. And then

I continued with prayer, with prayer and, you know know talk with my wife she was on board I even in

her state and and so we decided to take that leap of faith and come to Kentucky

and I'm glad we did pardon me for not knowing the exact time of both Chrissy

still being treated during that time yes so I mean I mean what was that? I have to ask because

like what's it like trying to manage I'm getting a new job. I can move to a different state. My wife's

getting treated, you know like driving back and forth moving like what I mean how do you

begin to do all that? You know what sometimes if I look back on it I'm wondering you know why

did I do it as crazy that I was doing it because you know you then you add in

the animosity that you know the the Virginia Tech fans had for leaving and you know

looking for anything they could to latch on to it all the while you know the most
