Welcome in, ladies and gentlemen, to episode 57 of the Memorial Mimo, KSR's Kentucky Women's Basketball podcast.

I'm excited to be on here today because, again, we are following a win-up with an episode.

It's always more fun to be on here when you're talking about a win and then previewing a future game, right?

But Kentucky gets a big win against Ole Miss.

We're going to hit on that and more later.

And I want to go ahead and get things started with, of course, as we always do,

latest national rankings and polls and whatnot.

Kentucky's number 16 team in the country and both the AP and the net.

Now the net, obviously at this point right now, a bit more important to be looking at the net or the, um,

the AP, you know, like it feels good to call yourself the number one team in the country,

if you're the number one team in the country, or it feels good to call yourself, you know,

whatever. Kentucky's been bouncing back

and forth between 16 and 18 for a few weeks now and they're back up to 16 now obviously being

number 16 as far as you know uh NCAA tournament you you know, overall seeds.

There's a big difference in 16 and 18, but when it comes to the AP poll, who really cares?

Like I said, Kentucky, number 16 in the net.

When you look at what they've done with their quad records, of course, the Ole Miss win was a quad one win.

That was a big game for Kentucky, Ole Miss currently sitting at number 18 in the net. That's a win you needed, right? Like that's a win that, you know, we're going to talk

about this NCAA tournament resume. But, you know, when you go, and let's go back to the quad records you know

Kentucky all of your losses are in quad one except for the Georgia loss and of course that

Georgia loss you know you go look at Georgia and they are the number 34 team in the net, right?

So they're kind of just outside of that being a quad one loss. So, you know, and that was without Tiani Key as well.
