And he was in the Guinness Book of World Records for holding the longest note on a saxophone.

Kenny G held an E-flat for 45 minutes and 47 seconds using a technique called circular breathing.

And I'm surprised every time I bring this up, like the record, people are like, oh, you're circular breathing.

I'm like, how does everybody know this fact?

I never heard of this.

What is circular breathing?

It's a technique that Woodwind players use where they store air in their cheeks just long enough to suck in air through their nose.

And so they push out that cheek air while they're breathing in through their nose. And then the lungs take over again.
