And today, unfortunately, we have to save the world from fentanyl.

Fentanyl, as you know, is a synthetic opioid that has been sprinkled throughout all sorts of

drugs that used to be fun.

But somehow drug traffickers decided to be a bunch of jerks.

And so they're putting fentanyl into more of their substances to make

them more addictive so people buy more of them. It's like how General Mills makes cocoa puffs more

delicious. So kids want the chocolatey goodness in their cereal bowl. Very similar. And, you know,

drugs used to be fun. It used to be a way to unplug, used to be a great

lark. And now, unfortunately, a little bit of the wrong substance, just a little bit. I'm not even

talking, you know, five-day bender, like a line of cocaine can be absolutely deadly. And I'm sure

you've heard stories on the news and maybe you have personal

stories, people you know, who have lost their lives doing something that might at one point

in their lives have been recreational and then it turns deadly very, very quickly. And in the past,

there has been no way to check for fentanyl and um that is terrifying as a

parent you know i'm obviously raising two teenage girls in new york city and now as parents

you know you always have to have the talk about drinking and drugs and sex and all that, you know, parental

malarkey. But now you really have to talk to your kids and be very honest with them. Don't put

anything in your body that you didn't buy in a store or a dispensary. You know, it's like, yes,

I want to dissuade you from putting anything like that in your body, but, you know, you have to be

practical and realistic and talk about these things.
