There's just more of him to love.

Sometimes I think he's wasting away to nothing.

He's very sad because MTV News has been shuttered.

The entire division is gone.

Paramount networks having to lay off 25% of their staff, which is very devastating

for people who have been devoted to the cause of MTV News for 36 years.

When I started at MTV in 1992, MTV News had already been around for five years, and it was a

very big deal, and it was something that was heavily invested in and highly regarded by all of the network brass, especially Judy McGrath, who at the time was a president of MTV.

And, you know, she appreciated their projects and the hard work that they put into creating a news organization

within the chaos of a music video network.

And it's interesting because the people who are sad about it are people who don't watch

MTV at all now because it's not for us.
