So the Kendrick brothers make faith-based movies like Fireproof and War Room and they have another

movie out now called The Forge and their movies are always unashamedly representations of the

gospel in a very direct approach.

And for some people, it's Uber Christian,

but as I found out sitting with them,

it's not just about making Christian movies

and having an agenda.

It really is who they are at their core. Like they

walked into the room, they introduced themselves to everyone in the room, they

came in, they sat down like, hey, we'd like to pray before the interview and like

all of this is on brand for them but this new movie is

about a black kid growing up without a father played by this guy Aspen who joined us

for the interview and that is not either of the experience of Alex or Stephen Kendrick so I had to ask
