But first, let's get into what's been going on with Kevin McCarthy and Matt Gates.

These two, it's a big, big swing and you know what contest between these guys. Okay, so there's

been a lot of tensions between the two. Apparently, they got into a big fight behind closed doors.

It's just another sign of the deep divisions and infighting that is happening with the House GOP.

And they're failing really to coalesce around a

plan to avert a government shutdown. But they're failing to coalesce because they're not, and they

never were serious about doing the things that they claimed they wanted to do. The Republicans,

and we're about to get into this in the next segment, the party as a

collective from the top down, despite their platform saying they are, is not a party of low taxes

or limited government. They believe, and they from time to time are proven correct, that you're

a big enough sucker to, if they say it enough, that you'll believe it and keep from time to time are proven correct, that you're a big enough sucker

to, if they say it enough, that you'll believe it and keep voting for them. But the reality is,

when it comes to spending, they are every bit as bad as the Democrats. It's just a different

set of people that benefit. And so the whole plank of them running for

reelection was inflation is out of control. Curbing government spending will stop this. And what

have they done the entire nine months they've been in power, Casey? Spend money. Spend. Spend. And so

Matt Gates is saying, wait a second. And many others, but Matt Gates has kind of become the face of this.

Yeah.

You, Kevin McCarthy, made this promise because you wanted to be Speaker of the House.
