So if a politician disappears or deviates from the norm, what right do we as taxpayers have to know about it?

Well, if they disappear, sometimes, at least historically, trends show that it does raise questions about where they were and what they were doing and who paid for it.

Right.

So several little boxes we'll check here.

First of all, Trump.

So there's an interesting article at the Hill about a former Biden aide by the name of Megan

Hayes.

She went on yesterday, Labor Day.

She was on CNN.

And she was talking about sort of the lack of public appearances from Trump.

Mm-hmm.

And she's basically saying the administration is not being transparent about what's going on with him.

Yeah, she said that he appeared, what, in 26 public appearances in August, but has gone silent for six plus days except for some truth social posts.

Now, he did play the golf, right?

He did go play the golf.

But I don't think that's necessarily unfair to say if you're the president, especially if you ran against the guy who you

nicknamed Sleepy Joe and they're not telling you the truth. I don't think that's unfair to say

something appears to be off from the normal look at me way Trump engages with everything and the public should probably be allowed to know

why that is and why we've seen such a change in terms of his lack of public appearances,

lack of public engagement.

I don't think that makes you a gotcha person.
