| 0:06.6 | W I B C Rob Kendall is out today enjoying time with his new growing family as Olivia Thatcher Kendall was born last night in his place. |
| 0:16.6 | We've got Jim Roberts who's joining us. The dude is in the studio and we begin with some news that just came out this morning. |
| 0:24.0 | And that is about what the Supreme Court has decided. |
| 0:27.5 | They set new limits on affirmative action programs and cases involving whether public and private colleges and universities can continue to use race as one of the factors for admissions. |
| 0:39.1 | Now the court they held it. The opinion came down six to three and Chief Justice John Roberts, he actually went with the conservative. |
| 0:47.1 | Yeah, he's really been the swing vote the last several years on this sort of thing. So it's interesting that he cited with the conservatives on this one. |
| 0:53.2 | So students for fair admissions, which is a conservative group. They sued Harvard University and the University of North Carolina over their race admissions program. |
| 1:03.3 | And they alleged that intentional discrimination was being held towards applicants and the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the group in the decision. |
| 1:12.5 | And this is going to have major ramifications for college admissions processes across the entire country now. |
| 1:18.5 | Yeah, so it's important to know this is a fairly fairly narrow ruling that just applies to college admissions. |
| 1:24.1 | So any other affirmative action programs that exist in other institutions are not really affected by this decision at all. |
| 1:30.1 | Okay, so universities now they're going to have to look at the student, not the race. Look at their grades and what they do out in the community and use that as they determining factor. |
| 1:43.0 | And all, you know, all the data and all the polls up until this point have shown that the vast majority of the population agrees that they that ending race-based admissions should be something that should be done. |
| 1:53.8 | Even the majority of Democrats agree that race-based admissions to colleges is something that should be done away with, which is what happened in the Supreme Court ruling today. |
| 2:01.8 | So you're going to see a lot of liberals losing their mind on Twitter and in the media over the next couple of days about this. |
| 2:07.4 | But it is it's going to be of it by the data showing it. It's going to be a very popular opinion amongst the populist and whole. |

| 2:20.6 | So President Biden, he has turned a new phrase. Actually, he has he has adopted it. The phrase was created by the Wall Street Journal and he decided, yeah, I guess it's pretty good. |
| 2:34.2 | And the phrase is Biden economics. I want to say Biden economics, but that's not it. It's bi-nomics. It's when you mush a couple of words together, right? |
| 2:44.2 | He's embracing it. He went to where was he? He was in Chicago and he was trying to give this major economic speech. His top adviser saying this is a strategic strategic decision to own the economy. |
| 3:00.2 | Here's a guy who's saying he's going to own the economy. Why in the hell would you want to own today's economy? |
