That's right.

All nine of them.

This is fascinating.

And it's something people really need to pay attention to.

So we touched on this before, the Indian Economic Development Corporation, it's this shadow

quasi-government entity, which is not required to report things the way other government

entities are.

It's not subject to public records requests.

What it does do is gobble up a lot of your money, and they give it away to very wealthy,

powerful people and companies.

And you're told, well, the goal of that or the end result of that is going to be a lot of

economic development for the state.

And one of the things, and I was thinking about this as I was coming into work today,

one of the things that should be the goal of any elected official should not be a lot of

economic development, whether you're a town or city councilman, whether you're the governor,

all points in between. Not a lot of economic development, but the right economic development

that fits what you are. And in the case of Indiana, we have become so focused on what I call bright, shiny objects,

the idea of the press release and the value of the building or the jobs it creates or whatever,

whatever we can make look awesome in a press release, that we have lost sight long ago of

economic development that fits the character of what we are as Hoosiers.
