It is great news for the Indy 500. It is once again one of the marquee sporting events in the entire world and everybody wants to be a part of it.

It is the Kendall and Casey show 93W I B. I'm I'm Rob Brad's in for Casey today.

Kev's here and Brad I know you are a total homer for the Indy 500.

I am Rob that is our beach that is our Super Bowl that is what makes Indianapolis great.

You know it's a fascinating story and I think about you know I'm a big golf fan and I think

about what's going on with golf right now where it's kind of reached a low point with the live and PGA split and there's

obviously a huge lack of interest in traditional PGA events without some of the best players,

even the majors are down a little bit even though everybody gets back together and what has

happened with IndyCar and the 500 in particular it really gives me some hope

because IndyCar was in this position.

I mean it's almost been 30 years ago now but it was in this position at one point and

it not only came back, it took a while, but it came back stronger than ever.

I mean there's some incredible details out that they have

almost sold, matched the 330,000 tickets that were sold in 2023 and they expect to perhaps even eclipse that in 2024.

Yeah, well I think I saw that they said that there's only about 12,000 seats left and those are, yeah, grandstand seats. I was out there on Monday
