Yesterday, Rob, you said that Governor Mike Braun should just sign an executive order in regards to property tax relief because, well, why not?

Holcomb did it when he shut the entire state down, right?

Yeah, think about that.

Eric Holcomb put over a million people out of work, closed tens of thousands of businesses, some of them forever, totally disrupted our entire collective society and ecosystem via executive

order. And there was not a peep from the Republican legislators, the Republican supermajorities

at the time. So if the standard in our state is no matter what you do, because what could be

more egregious than that, we won't say anything. Why not just do the property tax bill by executive order? Yeah. So we now have proof that Governor Mike Braun does

know how to sign an executive order because he has done one. And this one requires state-affiliated

nonprofits to disclose their funders and financial activities. Okay. So this relates to the IEDC, which this is very good what Braun did yesterday.

So the IEDC is it's what they call a quasi-government entity in which public money flows into it.

However, there's also private money, I will use the term associated with it.

It's how they get around having to tell you things about it.

There's all sorts of carve out special rules, whatever.

It's a great example of how government creates something with a decent cause or idea or premise. and then it just becomes a monster that gets totally

out of hand because special interest gets their hands around it and money rules the day.

So Daniels created this in the mid-2000s, the IDC, the foundation.

It was designed to say, hey, I'm a great business guy, which Mitch Daniels was.

There's lots of opportunities that if we can merge the public and private partnership together,

that we can attract companies better than if the government is just going on its own, which is absolutely true.

Hey, you guys have these areas of

expertise. You have these specialties. You have these business people. Oh, and by the way,

when we're doing these international trips or whatever, we can find a way so that it's not
