Good morning. It is Thursday, January 4th, five minutes after 11. It's Kendall and Casey on 93 W. I. B. C. So House Republicans, moving ahead with steps to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkis, this over his

handling of the border crisis.

And well, let's see, the Speaker of the House has described the situation at the U.S. border with

Mexico as a catastrophe and said that the entire administration not doing their job and something needs to be done about all of this.

This is really interesting because the Republicans continue to act in all of this as though

there's some innocent victim when the reality is yes this guy is abhorrent but

unless he committed a high crime or a misdemeanor simply sucking at your job is

not a high crime or a misdemeanor and the Republicans

act as though well this guy is the reason the border is totally out of

control no the reason the border's out of control, obviously Biden plays a role in that, but you guys

have had the ability to solve this problem for the past year.

And by solve the problem, you control the money. and how many times had the Republicans had

Biden over barrel where they you know he needed their votes to keep the federal

government open and they just gave in and got absolutely nothing in exchange

when they could have gotten border security, the wall, if this was such a priority to them,

they have had multiple opportunities to fix the issue and they have

refused because they don't actually care about this. This is what we talked

about yesterday like with this Harry Hoosier thing, where the Republicans in Indiana get people really focused on the social

stuff not to say that many of the things they do there's not merit to but they put this thing up and say

see look look look look look look look look but what about what's going on over here see look look look look look look and this is what they're doing with the border

instead of just fixing the issue which is we have the power of the purse we have the ability to mandate if Joe Biden wants

to keep the federal government open which he said shutting it down is not an option so
