Rob thanks for having me I really appreciate it okay so you have a new book out, and it's called Urban Republican Mayor My Story.

Now, we're going to do a little deep dive on the book, but one of the things that's fascinating

about the book, and we're just talking about this off air, is the role that you give WIBC,

Greg Garrison, in particular, credit to for you becoming the mayor of the city of Indianapolis.

He was absolutely critical when no one was paying attention to me in 07.

He kept having me on the his show, which is which is a massive audience.

So the and you know, since my opponent wouldn't come on, I kind of had free reign to come in. And he really helped me. And I was, you know, as you can read in the book, I was a little naive, a little unpolished, and that's okay. were elected mayor of the city in indianapolis 2007 and you were just sort of the guy who raised

your hand and said okay i'll i'll draw the short straw this cycle and all run. And you were this just kind of obscure military guy.

And then you shocked the world and became the mayor.

Just can, do you remember election night where you're like, oh, crap, I won?

Like, what was it like when the final folks were telling?

Actually, I was not shocked.

And I remember the journey so well.

And I'm so glad that I got it down before my memory goes, right?
