They are making progress in the great state of Ohio to eliminate property taxes. We touched on this

a few weeks ago. They had to get a bunch of signatures, 413,000 valid signatures for this to go to

the Attorney General in Ohio to move it forward. And guess what? They did the job. Ohio is a ballot initiative state.

And what that means is their citizens, if they obtain the proper amount of signatures,

have the ability to put questions on statewide ballots for the public to vote on.

We saw this recently with an abortion issue that did not go well for the pro-life movement,

but it appears that conservatives are mobilizing and trying to start using these ballot

initiatives to their benefit.

And you're right, Casey, they have the Attorney General for the state of Ohio

has certified that they have obtained the proper amount of signatures. So there will be a ballot

question for the people of Ohio to eliminate property taxes in their state. So it would be a

proposed constitutional amendment to abolish all real property taxes in the state of Ohio. The

proposal would add section 14

to the Ohio Constitution. Of course, the rising property tax bills have sparked all of the

public outrage, especially in Butler and Hamilton counties in Ohio. And those are in the Cincinnati

and just northwest of Cincinnati close to Dayton, that area between Dayton and

Cincinnati, 10% average increase in property tax bills and a 34% spike in property values.
