So Ron DeSantis knows everyone is waiting for him to say if he's running for president. And he came about the closest he ever has to

declaring or not. This was with an interview with Pierce Morgan. He made it really clear. He thinks that if he does run, yeah,

he can win. He said Biden has failed the country. He thinks the country wants to change. He thinks that we all want a fresh start and a new

direction. And we've been very vocal about it. And then Pierce Morgan said, do you think you can beat Biden and DeSantis

replied with, I think so. Yeah. So this is this is going to air Thursday night. So we'll have some audio for you as we roll

throughout the week on this. Look, he's running for president. There's no absolutely no doubt he's running for president. Probably after the Florida legislative session wraps up, he'll he'll make that

announcement. And really every every every person, every Republican voter should want Ron DeSantis to run for president. Because whether he wins or not, he will make Donald

Trump a much better, much better general election candidate. Indeed, Trump is the nominee. Because Trump is going to have to work his ass off to get past Ron DeSantis. And yesterday proved it because Ron DeSantis, when you get when he gave that speed, respond to that

question about Trump and this alleged coming indictment. And now he would, you know, what was going on with that and how he just mass. I mean, just masterfully made it about Alvin

Bragg and what a lunatic Alvin Bragg is. And now we've got to stand up and fight that now. He's fought that. But yet there are these subtle little reminders like, man, I don't know anything about porn stars and hush money payments. And I don't, I don't know, I don't know about any of that. He is, he is not Ted Cruz. He is not Marco Rubio. Donald Trump is not going to be able to bully his way through Ron DeSantis. He's going to actually have to work. And that will make Trump a better candidate.

Absolutely. Ron DeSantis says you can't just win with Republicans. You got to get the independence. And you need to convince some of the Democrats, which he did in Florida. And he goes back to state that Florida overwhelmingly thought that the country was on the wrong track.

But they think Florida is on the right track. And he wants to use that as his blueprint. If and when he does declare that he's running for president.

Here's what's really interesting too. I mean, we've talked about this. The, and you'll hear it in the voicemails coming up in a little bit.

One of the things from the always Trump, we hate DeSantis crowd is, well, he's been endorsed by some establishment people. So if they're for him, then I'm out on it.

And I laugh at that because we had talked about that jokingly. Remember when Jeb Bush kind of gave the endorsement for Ron DeSantis.

And you were like, I don't know if Jeb Bush likes it. Maybe I'm wrong. But these people are serious. If you like what the person has done, if you like how they've done their job, who cares who else likes them? If you think the person has done a good job, which I think you would be pretty hard pressed for the average person to say, wow, Florida is not kind of the envy of the nation right now on all sorts of fronts.

People moving there, investment, governance, liberty, freedom. There are many areas in which you would say, wow, I wish our state. We said it's all the time on the show. I wish Indiana on this topic could be like Florida.

Who cares? Who cares whether Jeb Bush is on board with that or not? It didn't. But to some people, it's just they're so, it's almost like they're more wedded the fight than the win.

OK, well, he thinks Ron DeSantis thinks that being governor has prepared him for the presidency. And here's Morgan asked him, do you think you have what it takes to be president of USA? And his answer, I thought was really good. He said, I think what it takes is to have a vision for the country.

Have the ability to exercise leadership and be willing to stand in that fire when it gets really hot and not back down.
