Oh, right. We're in day 20.

That's right. It's very easy to remember. October 1st was the day it was shut down. So just add whatever day you're at, and that's what day the shutdown is. Yeah, so it is now stretched into its third week. Currently, the third longest in U.S. history. and if it goes past November 5th, it will be the longest in U.S. history.

The Senate's going to vote again tonight at 530, allegedly, to try and end it. Okay, just a programming note real quick. If you've been, why aren't you on YouTube today? It's not that Kev was pulling shenanigans all weekend and is in no position to work in a proper manner. Which could be the case. He could have done that, but he's working in a proper manner. He has all his faculties about him. The YouTube is broke today. You said there's some sort of outage worldwide that's affecting people. Yeah, there were a lot of websites that were down this morning. Amazon was one of them. I don't know how that affects YouTube. And in fairness to Kevin, he followed all proper protocols. He alerted the people who needed to be alerted. No one's responding to him. I tried to alert people. Apparently, that didn't get anywhere. Oh, well, that makes Kevin feel better. They're ignoring you too. I mean, it is only 10 on a Monday. Why would we expect any of the, you know, engineering people to be here? But anyway, so. Maybe they got up to shenanigans over the weekend. You can, you can live stream still, WIBC.com. I check that. That is working. So if you know a loved one who is in a state of despair, they want to get in that

chat. Tell them nothing to no, no reason to panic. You could still hear this award winning program

over at WIBC. This is the us problem, not a you problem. Yeah, you're fine. Okay. So a shutdown.

So a couple of things obviously that happened while you were gone doing who knows what.

The shutdown remains in effect, but the Republicans tried to pass the Pentagon funding bill, the military funding

bill, and the Democrats voted it down despite having already advanced it earlier this year.

They said, eh, we're not doing that. So they're in full. And let me explain to people what the Democrats are shutting. Can I just, just, you will you indulge me for a second? Go for it. Because it gets pretty complex. People hear Obamacare. Here's what the Democrats are shutting down over. So in, Obamacare already was a colossal giveaway to the insurance industry pre-COVID.

I mean, that's what it was, right? It was not reducing anyone's cost. It was just a giveaway to the

insurance industry. It forced people to buy insurance. And then you, the taxpayers, were subsidizing

the insurance for people. Well, then during COVID, because again, whether it was the Republicans or the

Democrats, the goal of COVID, whether it was in Washington, D.C. or here in Indiana, they wanted you to

believe that they could shut down society and you wouldn't feel any repercussion for it. And so whether

it was adding, you know, hundreds of thousands of people to the Medicaid rolls here in Indiana or what we're about to talk about here, that's what they did. They just printed a bunch of money and then we're all paying for it now, of course, through inflation. But one of the things they did was they created these, since I'm going to call them super subsidies for Obamacare, which allowed all these people to get on Obamacare and pay extra money for Obamacare. So people thought, oh, this is great. Yeah, sure, they shut society down. That's a minor inconvenience. Look at me. I'm still getting all of my stuff. Then as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act, now imagine this, Casey, part of the Inflation Reduction Act was printing a bunch of money and giving it away.
