All right, Nikki, so Sessions started yesterday with the Indiana General Assembly.

I always picture this like Christmas morning for someone of your reporting expertise.

We like to call it more like the first day of school.

Like we got some agendas yesterday, which are sort of like your syllabus

when you went to your first day of school.

Yeah, but very exciting.

What do the Republicans because obviously they control everything?

So that's kind of who we're talking about.

What is their agenda this time?

It doesn't seem like like there's any really big issues out there.

I know there's some education stuff, but is there a theme of the retire. Yeah, we're not going to see anything bold or transformational. They're

really doing some smaller fine-tuning. Having said that the one thing that I

do think is pretty interesting is this look at reading proficiency

and holding back more third graders who can't read at an acceptable level.

I mean, that's talking, we're talking 8,000 children.

And so that will be a bit of a flash point, I think.

How much sway does Holcomb have on this session?

I mean, they've been really subservient to him

over the past seven years,

but he's on his way out the door.
