So we are in week three of the Indiana legislative session. Now that is if we don't count what they did back in December. So we're just going to set that aside. You know what? They really didn't do much back in December, so we're not going to count it anyway. So we're not setting much aside, are we? Correct. Okay. And to join us to talk about what's going on over there in the big state house. We've got Nikki Kelly from the Indiana

Capitol Chronicle. Nikki, let's start off with the latest on what's going on with the firing

squad and the gas execution methods that have moved out of House committee. Does that mean

it's ready to move over to the Senate? What's going on there? Yeah, well, interestingly, the Senate heard this bill way back in the first week, and it has

sat on their committee calendar without a vote the whole time. In fact, it was on there again

on Tuesday, and the chairman decided not to call a vote, and so it's ostensibly dead because

they don't have another meeting scheduled

before Monday. So then the House heard their bill on Wednesday and they moved it out of committee.

Obviously it's still got to go to the full floor, but if it does pass the House, apparently there's

some concerns about it in the Senate. so we'll see how that goes.
