The National Hurricane Center said the maximum sustained winds recorded of Hurricane Ian

increased to nearly 155 miles per hour. That was this morning. Just two miles per hour shy of

the threshold to be classified as a category five storm. Rhonda Santos warned that the storm

is currently moving north at 10 miles per hour and has sustained winds of 120 miles per hour.
