Also, the Washington Post came out and said Biden shouldn't run. Yes, that from the Washington Post. But we begin this hour talking about Mitt Romney. He announced that he's not running for reelection.

All right, Casey. So I think our theme for today is going to be deceptive pieces of garbage who exist in the government and we're going to play you some audio of a local elected official who looked essentially 30,000 people in the eye and lied right to their face.

And look, I've seen it all and I've never seen something this bad and this blatant in this brazen from right here in Central Indiana. We're going to make that. That's my new thing on the show Casey. Yeah.

The only Nathan Hale famously said, my only regret is I have but one life to give for my country. My only regret Casey is I have but one wildly popular radio show to

to broadcast the absolute disgraceful behavior that takes place in government. And if we're talking about disgraceful behavior that takes place in government, Mitt Romney has to be right at the top of the list because that guy is a completely disingenuous

skis ball who has no moral compass whatsoever. And as you have seen him shape shift throughout his political life will do and say whatever he needs to do and say in whatever room he is in to one be liked and to ensure his own power.

You know, who's most upset about this is the Democrat party that Mitt Romney is. They're losing a reliable both absolutely they are. So he was a one term governor, a one term senator, a twice defeated presidential candidate. He went to a BLM parade wearing a mask.

He voted for the infrastructure bill and he was pro gun control. This is this is why I have largely given up on the Republican party as a collective is because you look at who the Republican party puts forward

and makes the power brokers. They put guys who are known for their losing, which Mitt Romney is. You rise Mitt Romney lost not once but twice running for president. He was so bad. He lost to John McCain and then said, oh, that's not enough. Hold my beer and gave away a presidential election against Obama got totally

immasculated by Candy Crowley. It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. And what did the Republican party do instead of looking at that guy and going your pathetic and a complete zero. Get the hell out of here. They elevated him. First of all, he moved to another state. Right.

Somehow a guy who claimed his home was Michigan ended up being the governor of Massachusetts and then went out to your town and then became a senator in Utah. I mean, if you want to look up professional office hopper in the dictionary Mitt Romney would be right there front and center. And what are the Republicans do? They elevate this guy as a power broker as the voice of reason as the guy people need to go to and kiss the ring finger to this is why I hate the Republicans because this is what they do.

All the damn time. Here's a guy who is born with a silver spoon in his mouth. And what is he really good at? Well, he takes over companies. He fires everyone runs up the debt and then takes the capital in Bales. That's what Mitt Romney is good at. Okay. So here is Mitt Romney. Let's do give credit where credit is due because by Senate standards Mitt Romney is a very young man. He's what is he's got to be mid the late 70s now 71. I believe he's got to be older than that. He was in his mid 60s when he ran for 76. There he goes.

So thank you. Yes. So by that standard, I mean, he is still in an apprenticeship in the US Senate. However, he did admit I'm an old geezer and it's time for me to go.

I spent my last 25 years in public service of one kind or another. At the end of another term, I'd be in my mid 80s.

Frankly, it's time for a new generation of leaders. They're the ones that need to make the decisions that will shape the world they will be living in.

Now, we face critical challenges, mounting national debt, climate change, and the ambitious authoritarians of Russia and China.

Neither President Biden nor former President Trump are leading their party to confront those issues. On deficits and debt, both men refuse to address entitlements, even though they know that this represents two thirds of federal spending.

Okay. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Because I'm going to just put my fist right through this monitor if I have to hear his voice anymore. Now, he's not wrong about the spending in the entitlements. The problem is...

Yeah. This a hole keeps voting for all the spending. Yes, he does. He voted for the infrastructure bill. This is the thing. This is the, you know, the infrastructure, the COVID stuff, all the spending. And then they'll go out and Todd Young does the exact same thing. Remember the stop Washington waste tour? Well, what waste would you like to stop as I asked him at the stacks Pancake House? You remember when he moved aggressively towards me with the burly armed deputy behind him? Well, I'm not, I'm not stopping any of it. But you were just not a stop Washington waste spending tour.
