Good morning. It is Tuesday, January 17th. It is seven minutes after nine. And this is Kendall and Casey on 93

WIBC. And it is the first show in about a week. We're not starting off talking about

classified documents found in different locations with Joe Biden. Instead, we're starting with Jim Banks.

The congressman has jumped into the 24 race for U.S. Senate. He announced it today

becoming the first candidate officially to announce in what is expected to be a very crowded

Republican field. And this is the show Casey everyone's been waiting for because this is the

show where we tell you the truth. This is the show where we don't need to be friends with

these people. This is the show where we don't let our ideologies cloud the reality of what's

going on because this show is the show that holds the politicians accountable. And so what

we're going to do here Casey is we're going to heal back the narrative and we're going to have

a little accountability session about Jim Banks as we will do with anyone else who enters into

this race because the reality on Jim Banks is he is very similar to another guy who came

about 15 years before him who was great on TV. He was great in speeches. You believed he was

the future. You believed he was the guy you believed he was the one who would always stand for

you. And then the reality was when you peeled back the onion, there was nothing there. That guy

was Mike Pence. And if you look at Jim Banks actual record either as a state senator or now a US

congressman in terms of actual accomplishments, it is pretty much void of just about anything. He

was primarily in the state Senate when Mike Pence was governor. That was a colossal disaster, a

time at which the Indiana Republican party veered rapidly to the left. It was the precursor to what

we saw with Holcomb. And then as a US congressman, he really hasn't been able to do much of anything,

not that any real individual can in the US Congress. But let's face it, the big deal about Jim

Banks and the US Congress is what we're about to talk about, which is when he had an opportunity to
