Oh, great. Good to be with you on a holiday. So what's going on with SNL? There's a purge of the

Saturday Night Live cast members. Wow, it is really interesting because Lauren Michaels said in an interview last week

that he was getting ready to, you know, toss things around and shake things up, and he's done that.

Three of the guys are gone. The big surprise was Michael Longfellow, who's been on for three years uh was considered

you know it was sort of a player in the show and even a few days ago was uh testing to see whether

he could do weekend update but i guess that didn't work out and he's leaving the show and the

other two are um um, uh,

Emil and, uh, Devon, who were both, uh, Devon Walker had been there for about three years also.

And, had never really broken through. And, uh, Amil Wasim, uh, who really was in a few sketches this year it was his first year but they didn't make it and a couple of writers have also gone and i think lorne michael's has some more surprises for us before we see the uh the show come together the first weekend in october how old is lorne michael's now i mean

literally he was i was a child what she was running as head ellen i'm not a child anymore

he's probably around 80 you know but maybe a little less and uh and you know he's got a lot of

energy and he doesn't want to leave the show yet

a lot of people think when he leaves the show maybe seth Myers will take over but seth has been

sort of downplaying that we'll see i don't think set really wants to do that he loves being a performer

so uh being producer is really like you know 24-7 yeah um so the industry is shrinking it's

contracting so much the question is will there be an s-and-l by the time he's ready to retire

NBC needs that entertainment on saturday night that's that would be a lost opportunity to just

give up that audience so so i think that'll, I think they will continue with it.

But I don't, unless something, God forbid, happens, I don't see Lauren leaving anytime soon.
