Speaking of people having all these illegals in their apartment, and you were talking about the sewer

and the water lines. Well, two years ago, in my building, I had to have the main sewer line replaced because it was old and it had

wear and tear on it.

And it was pretty expensive, you know.

So these houses, most of them were only made to, as you pointed out, were made for so many people occupying the apartments

and everything.

In the 50s, my dad owned a large apartment building, and a lot of his tenants, they were

mainly Italian and Hispanic.

I remembered my mom telling my dad that so-and-so, a family member was coming from

such a place, and they were going to be caught back in those days, you had to have a sponsor,

you had to show you weren't going to be a burden to the system, you couldn't be on welfare

and everything, and my father would then go to the system you couldn't be on welfare and everything

and uh... my father would then go to the tenant and say well look
