As you know by now, one of my favorite subjects is the pre-tribulation rapture of the church is author,

lecturer, great student of the Bible, Ken Johnson.

Ken, Kane bearing gifts, specifically this little gift, which I love, it's called The Rapture,

a little thin, blue book. And like all of Ken's books, you open it up and you get a surprise, like on the very first page. And that's the

way you write. He writes about things that you've never heard of. Like in my notes here,

the schism of Nipos. Who knows about a thing like that? And yet, not too many people. Not too

many people. But Ken, who is a great researcher,

when writing about the rapture, he includes that little thought. What is that little thought?

Well, a lot of people say the raptures or the secret rapture, the pre-trib rapture was invented by

Darby in the 1800s. I still run into that constantly. And there were probably

a good hundred or better people in the two centuries before Darby that taught a pre-trib

rapture. And we see many early church fathers, first and second century, that were pre-trib.

That surprises everybody. But that being the case, people ask what happened in the

Middle Ages. Why didn't they teach it? And it was called the Sism of Nepos. It's recorded by Church

Father Eusebius. And what had happened was the Gnostics had gained an upper hand and started teaching

that we remain holy on earth. When we die and go to heaven, we sin, alcohol,

70 virgins, Muslim type stuff. And the church rejected that as they should. And they started thinking

that the book of revelation was totally symbolic. The millennial reign was not going to happen.

And they started teaching

on millennialism.
