The S scenes.

I think we've all thought about them, maybe National Geographic, we would talk about some of the

ancient archaeological digs and Coomron and I think everybody's sort of heard about the

Essines maybe a little bit, but I think to most people they are a mystery. They're sort of

hidden away.

Yeah, it's amazing though because when you go back and you look at the scrolls, they

tell you everything about themselves where they came from, the apostasy that hit in the

first age. So it's really amazing to study and their calendar is actually points to certain

prophecies we were unaware of. Now they were a very godly and devoted people.

Yes.

And in past conversations with you, I've gotten the impression

that the Essines were kind of anti-Phersonical.

Definitely.

And tell us a little about that, the culture.

Well, what had happened was back around 170 BC or so during the time of Antioch's epiphanes, the Zadok priests, which are the ones that are supposed to be running the temple,

or running it in a godly fashion, were ousted by this new group, the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
