Liberia during the Ebola crisis following massive earthquakes in China and Haiti and following the devastating

cyclones that hit Myanmar and the Philippines. In addition, he designed and implemented

emergency relief programs in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Bosnia, Cambodia, Honduras, El Salvador,

Kosovo, Turkey, Afghanistan, Nepal, Haiti, Japan, and the Philippines. He's also the author of the new book. This was kind of the scaffolding of our discussion today. It's right here running to the fire, helping in Jesus name. And I'll just tell you this right from the beginning. This is one of the most impactful interviews that we've done in a while because obviously reading the book, kind of seeing some of the stories. I had a feeling that we would get some crazy stories today, but he told a bunch of stories that were not in this book. Because, yeah, we got into, okay, how did you get, you know, over to Africa for the first time? How did you meet Franklin Graham? How did you decide you were going to do this? And it was kind of interesting how, you know, Jesus led him and then Jesus led his wife. And it wasn't always, like, super copacetic there for a while. But we talked about, you know, how Samaritan's personnel, he responds to different things that

are happening around the globe that come mainly because of human darkness.

Now, obviously there's the darkness of sin that comes from natural disasters and things

like that, but also the evil of the human heart.

But he's lived in communist countries, and I asked him about communism and how's he feel about communism and how, you know, the younger generations are warming to communism, even though they've never actually experienced it up close. Talked about his work in Afghanistan and Bosnia. But then we spent a lot of time talking about Rwanda, because here's the thing, for most people, for me included, I mean, that genocide happened in, you know, 93, 94. And I was just too young to really know what was going on. You're not following the news. Like, you watch Hotel Rwanda, and that's kind of the closest you get to something like that. But he spent quite a bit of time talking about what he experienced firsthand. And it is absolutely, like some of the stories
