This is something that will make your blood boil.

A New Jersey father is fighting to protect his parental rights.

His name is Kristen Heaps.

He is suing the Delaware Valley Regional High School Board of Education

for socially transitioning his daughter using male pronouns and a masculine name without his knowledge and without his consent.

Meanwhile, they told school employees, even other parents, to use masculine pronouns for the girl behind the father's back.

So the only adult, literally in that part of New Jersey, being kept in the dark,

was the girl's one and only parent, the father.

Supported by 22 states and multiple parental rights advocates, Mr. Heaps,

is appealing a lower court ruling in a case that could set a significant

precedent for parental rights throughout the United States. Joining us now on the phone is attorney

Vincent Wagner from Alliance Defending Freedom representing Mr. Heaps in this landmark case.

Good morning, Counselor. Thanks so much for having me on, Ken. It's great to talk with you.

You bet. And Vincent, start out by explaining the core issue in this case. What's going on?

The core issue is that parents have a fundamental right under the U.S. Constitution to be the ones who make important decisions about their children's upbringing education and health care.

And that's what was violated in this case.

You got, you hit the nail on the head in your description of the situation where Mr. Heaps knew

that his daughter was struggling with some issues in her life, including gender issues.
