There'd still be point in doing it. Just not, you know, broadcasting it, not putting it out.

And we're putting this out, and this was a hugely enjoyable chat.

Talking to Ken Bruce for around an hour,

when we recorded, he was just about to start

on Greatest Hits Radio,

having left Radio 2 at the BBC in a dramatic fashion

in as much as he called the shots very rare for a radio presenter.

I mean, it happens, but it's very rare for them to make the decision to leave.

So it was really nice to talk to him about that, to find out a little bit about how he started,

because I was sort of unaware of that. And to get his views on

radio, because if anybody is qualified to give you their opinion on British radio, it is Ken Bruce.

We also talked, I'm afraid we did, about my impersonation of him. As I say to Ken, I find his voice incredibly easy to do.

So the impression does crop up now and again and again.
