I think when we are able to cultivate an awareness of our own greatness.

Now at 14 that word did not resonate with me.

I wouldn't have been able to tell you that there was anything that I could have termed great about me.

But just that knowing that there is something in us that is bigger, that is bolder, that is being called, if you can in any way latch onto that and then find a way to run with it,

what it does is create and build a sense of purpose, not only a purpose outside of you, but being on purpose, the experience of being on purpose inside of you.

That is a powerful intrinsic motivator and external motivator.
