Players in both leagues made their return to the game, contingent, on a commitment

to civil rights and social justice.

They modified their uniforms with slogans like equality, enough, liberation.

Just optically, you can look on the court.

You can see Black Lives Matter splashed across the baseboards.

You can see the jerseys.

And I think that the WNBA has placed clear signs and indicators that this season was beyond them, more than them.

Well, Jewel Lloyd, this has been by far your most consistent focused year of basketball we've ever seen.

How were you able to be in this zone, in this moment, during one of the most difficult seasons?
