And the Kalita Smith became a star working on the Bernie Mac show as Wanda, his TV wife, and working with Bernie, was kind of amazing.

You did a lot of theater, but we really know you,

really fell in love with you as an audience

with your television work.

Bernie Mac, you're also on Martin, you're also Jamie Fox,

so many other things.

I want to talk about some of those things especially like

Bernie Mac like that show just like endeared you forever to so many people what was

the experience of that show I mean mean that show was huge. It was

popular, it was beloved, it was, it was, I mean and he was such an amazing presence what was what was doing that show like?

That man I missed that man that man was amazing I was already a fan of that man.

So um amazing. I was already a fan of that man. So to land that job was incredible. Incredible. Those shows are particular to every actress

that is choosing that role.

So when I say it was, it had to be over, over 200 actresses.

I don't even know if they went to the East Coast, but I know in Los Angeles.

It spanned of auditioning for at least almost two months.

How did you get it?

Prayer.

But you went in there. They told me no twice. But you went in there what? Prepared. Did you have like a connection with him when you're in the room? Like how did you get it? He wasn're in the room. Like, how did you get it?

He wasn't in the room when I went in the first two times.

It wasn't until the last time.

I really believe that Rubin Cannon, casting director, either felt something or saw something and decided at the 11th hour of them being able to shoot because they hadn't found anybody just yet.
