The year 1952, the place sheep's head bay, New York, the man, Keith Green.

A musical prodigy from a young age, Keith Green has the honor of being the youngest composer

to date to sign to ASCAP, or the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers

at age 11, Caroline.

Green had all the makings of being a mid-60s Bieber, signing a five-year contract with Decker

Records, but his career was intercepted from a life of mop bucket piss breaks and apology

tours when his teen idol destiny never came to pass.

Keith was raised with a strange groove religion with both Jewish heritage and Christian

science influences, as well as dabbling in Middle Eastern philosophy in his adolescence.

With him and his wife Melody, however, whom he married at age 19, became self-proclaimed

Jews for Jesus, the Messiah.

The Greens put their money where their mouth was and their home where their heart was

too, making their San Fernando Valley residents a sort of halfway home for weirdos, for new

believers, non-believers, the homeless, pregnant teens, recovering addicts, and strangers

in need.

That's true.

The Greens were gorgeous poster children for the Jesus Freak movement in Southern California,

and this was just one of their ministries, the other being music.
