Are there types of humor that are out of boundaries for a Christian?

Ephesians 5.4 says neither filthiness nor foolish talking nor jesting, which are not convenient,

but rather giving a thanks. This is in a list of what Paul's telling us what not to do, right?

Don't do these things, but give thanks. And the King James says jesting. That's all it says.

And so some people think all joking is wrong because the King James says jesting. That's all it says. And so some people think all joking is wrong because the King James says jesting.

But the ESV and other more modern translations do add the word course jesting there because it's obvious that Paul is speaking of a type of humor.

Yeah, good to see you again, too. We had a good time in Cincinnati. And that was now, wow,

like three or four months ago, right? I know. And time

goes by so quickly. So it feels like a year ago. But yeah. We talked about doing coming on each

other's podcasts. And I think you invited me once. And I said I couldn't do it that week. And that

was the end. So I just never. So I want to have you on.

I want to talk about your documentaries and stuff. Yeah. We'll make it happen. But like you said, right now is a positive time of the year. So maybe we'll save that for the beginning of next year when things get serious again. Well, yeah, no, and I wasn't attributing that to neglect. I was just saying we're probably both very busy. and that's just what happens.

But I did want to talk about this, and I thought, I don't know why I thought about it. The other day, I don't know what it was. Something I thought about you and then I thought about that like Santa Claus. I'm like, do you, I mean, do you know him? Is he a friend of your? Santa Claus is one of the mythical figures that I hang out with. You know, we all roll in the

same circles. Comedians and mythical figures are kind of in the same realm. Well, you have a beard, and I just thought you did, you don't really, you probably have to whiten it a little, but you don't need a lot of, actually, I would only have to whiten this part down here because out here, I doing Santa really well I call this little sovereign
