Hello, big milestone for me just now.

I've just had my first ever coronavirus test because my local council this week is rolling out the lateral flow

devices the little pregnancy test style devices for asymptomatic people who can't work from home.

So I booked an appointment yesterday, just had it,

went to the town hall, there was a big queuing system outside,

nobody queuing though, because you've got to have an appointment, then you go in and

you do all the scanning of the bar codes and typing your details into test and trace, and then

I went into the assembly halls.

Last time I was there was to see Carly Jepson doing a concert.

And there's six testing booths and you go in and behind the window the person tells you what to do the swab.

Five seconds on each tonsil, ten seconds up the nose as far as you can stick the swab,

which did make my eyes water a little bit.

Then they stick it in the little thing, and I'll get the results in half an hour which by the

magic of podcasting will be after the music and either I'll be negative and doing a

podcast or I'll be positive and stuff isolating.
