today. And I like to start with something funny each week. And I heard about this pastor that was

walking down the street and he came upon this group of young boys that were surrounding this little

dog. And he asked them what they were doing.

And they said, we're having a contest. Whoever can tell the biggest lie can keep the dog.

He went into a 10-minute sermon, beginning with, don't you know lying is a sin? And ending with,

when I was your age, I never told a lie. There was complete silence. Just when he thought he'd gotten through to them,

the youngest boy spoke up and said, all right,

give him the dog.

All right, hold up your Bible. Say it like you mean it.

Ready? This is my Bible.

I am what it says I am.

I have what it says I have.

I can do what it says I can do. Today I will be

taught the word of God. I boldly confess, my mind is alert, my heart is receptive, I will never be

the same. In Jesus' name, God bless you. I want to talk to you today about the importance of being a peacemaker.
