external affairs at the Thomas B Fordham Institute. That's an education

outfit. It's about an article he wrote examining direct instruction as a tried and true and perhaps best method for teaching.

If this sounds in the weeds to you, it shouldn't.

It's not in the weeds.

It's about what works in education and what doesn't.

Education's had so many newfangled approaches to it. So many new things have been tried.

But what he points out is that direct instruction, the much criticized teacher in front of the classroom method actually works.

And when the teacher is good and the teacher knows the stuff.

So that'll be an interesting discussion please pay attention to that but before that is Mark

Krakori and he is the man to go to on immigration he's the executive director of the

center of immigration studies immigration has been very much in the Center of Immigration Studies.

Immigration has been very much in the headlines in a matter of discussion in Washington.

So we're getting an update on where things stand.
