Summary
When you feel dismissed, neglected, or insulted by your spouse, what do you do? Pout? Go silent? Retaliate? In this program, Chip’s gonna help us respond to hurt and pain in a biblical way by teaching from Romans chapter 12. Discover how your marriage can survive, heal and move forward when we wound one another.
Main Points Great marriages are characterized by couples who refuse to repay evil for evil within or outside their relationship.- Translation = Every couple wounds one another, and injustice, betrayal, and personal attacks will happen to all of us from within and outside the church. Those who learn to overcome evil will prosper, those who don’t will be destroyed.
- The principle = We must extend the mercy and forgiveness to others that Jesus has extended to us. --Colossians 3:12-14; Ephesians 4:32
- We know Jesus’ teaching. --Matthew 5:43-48
- We practice overcoming evil. --Romans 12:14-21
- God’s sovereignty. --Genesis 50:20; Romans 8:28-29
- God’s mercy. --Matthew 18:21-23
