Hello, friends. Welcome back to the Bill Press pod and a very special guest, Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

0:13.6

Over the last year, as we've all struggled with a pandemic, one of the people we've all come to depend on is Sanjay Gupta. From his position as

0:23.5

senior medical correspondent for CNN, Sanjay's been an honest voice about just how serious the

0:29.9

coronavirus is and a reassuring voice about how we can overcome it together. In addition to appearing so frequently on CNN, Sanjay is also a practicing neurosurgeon,

0:42.8

performing about 250 brain surgeries a year.

0:46.9

And on top of that, he's written a very important new book called Keep Sharp

0:52.7

on how we should all make special efforts to take care of and improve

0:57.2

1:28.3

1:33.1

1:39.6

which is you take the vaccine and you're far less likely to get very sick, far less likely to require

1:45.9

hospitalizations, and far less likely to die. That's what most people want out of a vaccine

1:50.8

and accomplish those things. It wasn't as good as some of the other vaccines, at least numerically,

1:56.7

at preventing the milder illness. So, you know, people could still have more mild or moderate symptoms with this as compared

2:04.0

to the other two authorized vaccines.

2:06.1

But it's a really good vaccine.

2:07.6

It's interesting, Bill, because it's one shot, like you mentioned, it also can be stored

2:12.1

from a temperature standpoint at the same temperatures that most pharmacies have existing freezers. So, you know,
