We are nearly a month into the 2026 baseball season, which means it's time to make some tough decisions about some underperforming hitters.

Is it time to cut these guys, hold them, or buy low?

Eric Haltrowman here, excited to be joined today by Dave McDonald, the head of the Earth Leagues, the occasional host of one or two different podcast, depending on how much his co-hosts feel like recording with him.

Dave, will we be covering all of your targets today, or are you off to a pretty good start?

By the way, I love that intro, probably the most accurate intro I've ever gotten.

But yeah, I mean, it's hard to avoid having no questionable guys on your team, unfortunately, but it's, it's April.

I try not to overreact to things. We'll definitely be going over a couple of my guys, but, uh, I, I have avoided the large majority of these guys from, from the looks of your list, but I've got some teams that are doing very well and some teams are doing very not well. So, uh, yeah, it's, uh, it's been a, it's been a mixed bag so far.

Yeah, I'm sure everybody's got some tough decisions out there.

We're going to try to not overreact or underreact, but just perfectly medium react to all these guys today.

I will get to the list of hitters who are off to terrible start soon, but as always want to start with some headlines and some of these headlines will be maybe some pitchers who will be dropping

some players to pick up this week. It's a pretty big week for pitcher call-ups. We had Connor

prelip of the twins, a number 168 ranked prospect here at Rodewire.

He got the call yesterday, Wednesday, against the Mets, and it was pretty good.

Two runs allowed on four hits while striking out six only went four innings,

but could be an opportunity here for at least a few weeks with Mick Abel out on the

IL. Would you be planning on making some real bids here on Connor prelip? I mean, the twins are

actually winning some games, so we might have thought that this was a team where you don't

really want to chase any of their pitchers because they're not going to win anything.

But as long as prelip can go five innings, which you probably can, is there enough talent there
