I stepped out of the man cave with some neighbor's houses and walked out onto the back patio

after we'd fired fireworks off.

There were just two of my friends out there.

And we were watching all of the post game unfold on ESPN and NFL network.

And we're seeing all of the big time celebration and kudos and gibronies and you got a fight and every single

thing and the confetti. And I turned to these friends and I said, is this really happening in Kansas

City? I mean, is this really what we are now? We just have this football team that is incredible and so much fun to watch

and never out of a game. And the Chiefs remarkably, after being down, after watching the

quarterback get injured late in the second quarter, down 10, the vision in our head all throughout

Rihanna's halftime show is Patrick Mahomes' head resting on the trainer's shoulder.

So hurt, so distraught, sitting on the bench.

Mahomes in a very real moment, but by his standards, a very weak moment, showed frustration,

injury, showed everything Patrick Mahomes never shows.

Sitting on that bench, writhing in pain, and he leans his head over and puts it on the

shoulder of the trainer, you thought, there is no way the Chiefs are winning this Super Bowl.

It looked like in that moment, just for a split second, that Patrick Mahomes was hopeless,

that he didn't believe it was possible.

Every one of you felt it.

We've all forgotten it in the mayhem and the celebration afterwards
