It's going to have all kinds of tasty selections for us. We'll see how he does this year. He's off to a great start. 32 and 15 for the season. And he's ready to lock you up for Locktober. to talk about kind of the week that was. There were some interesting stories that we didn't

really get to on the podcast this week. And one of my favorites of those was kind of a continuation

of a story that we've been following for a while. I got a text from a buddy who saw something

on Twitter from a website that I don't really know anything about, and I'd never been to. It's called

natural news.com, but they had tweeted out a gentleman named Ethan Huff is a writer there. And a lot of

people have been talking about this new Panasonic electric vehicle battery production facility in

DeSoto, Kansas. It's claimed to be a $4 billion

factory, but we've learned there's $6.8 billion worth of government goodies that Panasonic

gets to use how it wants through the Inflation Reduction Act. So they have, you know, an additional

55, 60, 60, 65 percent to spend if they'd like to because the government

apparently is now going to pay for all this. And I guess that's good for DeSoto and good for jobs.

And I guess maybe we're going to need these electric batteries at some point.

But there was a pretty hot story circulating when this was first announced that there is no possible

way that Evergey, which is our energy provider here in the Kansas City area and in DeSoto,
