I created the show because I wanted to talk to other writers about the business and process of writing.

I'm doing a couple of live shows coming up this weekend at the Dynasty Theater, which is a

really cool new space. It's actually a very old space that's

been revamped, sort of close to downtown Los Angeles. The first show is on March 10th. It's a really

cool show that I've wanted to do for a long time. I've been working on this idea for like a decade,

in which musicians, comedians,

and authors perform and discuss the work that inspired them. It's hosted by actor and improviser Tani Newsom, who is terrific. You know her from Bajillion Dollar Properties. If you listen to

the Spontanea Nation podcast, she's on that all the time.

She's also a singer with musician John Langford, among others.

And so she's going to host this thing.

She's going to talk to authors who are going to read from other people's works that inspired them.

She's going to talk to musicians who are going to perform songs that other people have written that inspired them

and is sort of in the DNA of their music.

We're going to talk to comedians.

Our first show is March 10th, as I said, at 7 p.m. at the Dynasty Theater.

Our guests are Ellen Raskin, who co-, who co-wrote with Gabby Dun,

the terrific I Hate Everyone But You, which is a really fun book, a very funny book. Allison is

terrific. You're going to like her. And our musical guest is Caitlin Tarver, who was a Disney kid.
