We've gone over and over and over the draft already.

We've had our opinions.

But let's cut down to brass tack, should we fill?

We're going to talk about the why of these selections.

And we're also going to run through a depth chart.

Phil is our draft guru.

I have my feelings as well. but I'm going to defer to Phil

on the why of Cole Strange at 29 overall in the first round. This one to me is pretty easy.

It's just the most glaring need on the roster, right? You need a starter there,

unlike just about every other position where you could get by.

You really couldn't get by with just Mike Owenu and whatever else you had at guard.

So that to me is what makes sense, Tom. And this is what they did. This is one similarity.

I wrote about this yesterday, how this draft class was just so different from last years.

And last year's was a home run. So why deviate?

But in this respect, it is similar to last year.

Most obvious need on the roster, first round, hit it, get a guy you like, and move forward.
