We had some news late yesterday in typical Kaway Leonard fashion off the top

rope out of nowhere just in a press release and Omy young we suk I got this I happened to get this press release, like I happen to be checking my email when the press release came through and it said clippers and Kauai lender to extension Extension didn't say the terms.

Subsequently as these things happened a couple minutes passed.

Woj got the terms.

Three years, $153 million, which is a win on multiple levels for the Los Angeles clippers.

It is a, I think, validation of the James Harden Trade. Depending on how this season unfolds, it could, validation probably isn't the

right word, but I think the jury is out on whether the Kauai PG era has been quote-unquote a success and in fact before

this season the jury was kind of ready to like slip the verdict back to the judge and

it wasn't going to be great, maybe this changes that. This is a, and the clipper, all along, I said and others said, but I was, I was adamant about it from the beginning. The clippers cannot and will not just hand these dudes ironclad max four or five year extensions

They haven't played enough they haven't done enough and they held out apparently and got a three-year extension that starts at the max and goes flat from there so it's not even a max

extension it's a win on multiple levels for the clippers and oh my god the email I was checking my email rarely am I like on on email when you get a press release and you tweet the press release that's not a

scoop you've accomplished nothing

journalistically but I did have this window I checked Twitter and nobody had

tweeted it yet I had this window where I could have been the first reporter to tweet the existence of this press release.

And when no one had tweeted it, I was like, I don't know, this is Kauai, like is this a scam?

Is this like, is this a fake email? Let me check the email address again. I didn't want to be the guy to put, like, put it out there and it ends up not. I'm so paranoid. I was like, I might be, and it's not a scam. Ohm, were you surprised?
