Adam Silver took questions after the league's board of governors meeting in New York on Wednesday. And when asked about the Kauai Leonard scandal, he said, quote, the burden is on the league if we're going to discipline a team and owner, a player or any constituent members of the league. He also said that the league needs to take a look at the

quote,

totality of the evidence rather than just the mere appearance.

Quote, I have an independent obligation to be the steward of the brand and the integrity

of this league, end quote.
