Hey, good morning, everybody. Welcome to the Kirk Cameron Show. It's Friday, and today's

episode is a weekly wrap-up of all things, culture and politics, things that have happened

this week that I think are worth talking about. We're going to discuss the continuing dismantling of the

Department of Education and what that means for education in America and the selection of the brand new worldwide Pope.

I want to give you a lens through which to see these things that are going to, it's going

to encourage you, that's going to give you comfort and is going to urge you to live lives

worthy of God and not just watching the news but participating through prayer

in shaping the news and the events that are that are creating the world for you and your children.

It's just very sad day.

It's honestly, I think, impressive that he made it to Easter. I think that's almost

like a miracle for Italy.

We are really sad about it. We come from Australia. We were hoping there was some chance

to see him, but then we heard about it when we came in here.

And I find it very significant that the Pope has died during Easter, or the Easter weekend.

I mean, I'm from Argentina. The Pope is Argentinian, so, you know, it has quite a bit of significance for us.

When anyone dies, there is a mix of feelings, especially for a Christian.

We have the hope of heaven as the great final act of redemption of going to be with Jesus,

and we have the sadness of losing somebody who's been precious to us, dear to us.

And for the Pope, and 1.3 billion Catholics look to him for their spiritual

guidance. And now a new Pope has been selected. And this Pope is named Pope Leo the 14th. Did you know

that the Pope actually gets to choose his own name as Pope? Now, his real name is Robert Francis Prevost,
