Morning everybody. Welcome along to your free podcast for today. I know we've not been here for the last couple of days.

It was all due to illness. We were running short of people and unfortunately we didn't have anybody to record it and that's the basic truth behind it.

So we didn't know. We knew first day somebody was ill. Second day we didn't know they were ill until the last minute. So that kind of sort of put the kibosh on it. But anyway, nice to be back with you again. I trust you are well. And, well, we've saved up a few stories. We've saved up quite a few stories for you. I did mention the fact that David Letterman has done his last show. He says our long national nightmare is over for presidents usher David Letterman into retirement.

33 years, 6,028 broadcasts on the air. He's 68. He got all sorts of plaudits and there were lots of things. Gerald Ford was on there,

and George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and until Barack Obama came on, and then went,

David Letterman is retiring. Lettelman sidled up to Obama to say, you're kidding, right,

as he ended this historic thing. Inica the um the hosts of these programs

are huge stars they're absolutely enormous because the chat show in america is seen we have

chat shows here but nothing compared to the audiences that they get they can get the biggest stars we

can get the biggest stars too it's just just that they don't get the size coverage.

You know, the size coverage is sort of enormous because these things go around the world.

They literally go around the world.

And so people will compete to be on the right show.

You've got to be on the right show.
