On today's episode, Laura gets Castaway with Canadian comedian, writer, presenter, and now actress Katherine Ryan. In this conversation, Katherine talks about the power in using creative outlets like podcasts to explore issues that aren't often spoken about - sharing her own experience of pregnancy loss on her podcast 'Telling Everybody Everything'. Katherine also tells Laura how she's coping in lockdown with her childhood sweetheart and 4 dogs, as well as why she misses the buzz from stand up with a live audience. Laura and Katherine also chat about the right to reply with hecklers, why Katherine is a big fan of Gemma Collins (who, in her words, is the UK version of Mariah Carey!) as well as some brilliant podcast recommendations thrown in such as Emily Dean's Walking The Dog and the mystery podcast of Missing Richard Simmons.
Podcasts in this episode include:
How Was Your Week with Julie Klausner
Having Funlessness with Jen Kirkman
The Gemma Collins Podcast
Walking The Dog with Emily Dean
Missing Richard Simmons
